Day 1 Chennai On your arrival our representative will meet and assistance at Chennai International airport /Railway Station and transfer to hotel. Assistance at check in. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 2 Chennai – Mahabalipuram: After breakfast, a short Orientation programme of Chennai city with visit of Bronze Museum. Later drive to Mahabalipuram (58 Kms/1.5 hrs) en route visiting Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is one of Hindu's seven most sacred cities. This "Golden city of a Thousand Temples" dates back to the early Cholas in the 7th century A.D. Only around 70 temples of the original 1000 old temple complex are still in good condition and the most famous of them is the Kailasanatha Temple and Ekambeshwara Temple built with sandstone. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silk weaving and a visit to the nearby villages to see the craftsmen at work on their looms is worth a visit. Day 3 Mahabalipuram:-Pondicherry: After breakfast visit temples of Mahabalipuram. (World Heritage site) Built by the Pallava rulers in the seventh century, the complex comprises of 14 cave temples, nine monolithic "Rathas", three stone temples and two relief-sculptured rock panels. These two rock-panels give a graphic description of Arjuna’s penance when he prayed for the powers of Shiva and forms the largest Bass Relief in the world. Particularly of interest is the shore temple built on the water's edge with an east-facing altar designed to catch the rising Sun. This has now been declared a World Heritage Site. Later depart for Pondicherry. On arrival check-in at the hotel. After lunch at Hotel visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram – of the late Sri Aurobindo, a Saint-cum-Yogi who synthesized yoga and modern science. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 4 Pondicherry-Tanjore:

After breakfast depart for Tanjore (177 Kms). Tanjore. On arrival check-in at the hotel. After having lunch at hotel visit the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara. The temple is capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighing 80 tons which was taken to the top with the help of a 06 kms long ramp, an old technique used by the Egyptians for building pyramids. Its bronze and handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights of a visit to South India. Also visit Tanjore museum The Art Museum has an excellent collection of bronze deities and statues, and stone sculptures from the Chola period, dating from the 9th to the 12th century. There is also a collection of Tanjore glass paintings. The museum is in an audience hall with huge pillars. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 5 Tanjore-Trichy: After breakfast drive to Trichy (51 kms). On arrival visit Srirnagam, a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, which contains within its walls a bazaar as well. Lunch at hotel in Trichy. Later drive to Madurai. On arrival check-in at the hotel Madurai.

Afternoon visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace – a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stuccowork on its domes and arches. Also visit Meenakshi Temple, dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams, rising high above the surrounding countryside. Dinner at hotel Overnight at hotel Day 6 Madurai – Coimbatore: On arrival drive along the scenic route to the queen of hill stations- Ooty. Arrive and check into the hotel. Evening boat ride in the Lake. Dinner at one of the famous restaurants in Ooty to enjoy the local cuisine. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.

DAY 07 : Ooty After breakfast spend the day on an excursion to a tribal village of the Toda tribes people of the Nilgiri Hills. The Todas are a pastoral tribe that practice agriculture and shepherding. Their hand woven clothing in red, white and black colors is very striking and makes attractive souvenirs. Lunch at a convenient Restaurant en route or it can be a packed lunch from the Hotel. Return to your hotel – Dinner at Hotel and overnight stay at hotel. DAY 09 : Ooty–Coonoor-Ooty
After early breakfast. Take Mountain train, a fascinating experiences to Coonnor for half-day tour. A brief Tea factory visit and Lunch at Coonnor. Afternoon return to Ooty and Sightseeing of Ooty covering Botanical Garden, Lake, Doddabetta and sprawling tea plantations. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at hotel and overnight stay at hotel

DAY 10: Nilgiris – Mudumalai: After breakfast at the resort. Check out and drive to Mudumalai India’s best-known wildlife reserves Mudumalai National Park. Afternoon free to explore the resort and to go for jeep safari for wild life viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort. DAY:11 Mudumalai: Morning at Leisure or trekking. After breakfast check out and transfer to Coimbatore airport or Mettupalayam Railway Station as per flight/train schedule for onward journey to Chennai.
